How to Install Wire Markers

Wrap-Around Wire Identification 

1. Peel wire marker from liner at the top of the marker, only touching the portion of the adhesive that will be applied to the wire first.
2. Place this top area on the wire and wrap the rest of the wire marker around the wire - never touching the rest of the adhesive (50% of the adhesive can be removed with contact, the result of which would be potential "flagging" [edge lifting] of the marker). 

Heat Shrink Sleeving 

1. Fold the liner/carrier over to expose the opening of the permasleeve.  
2. Insert the wire into the sleeve, then remove from the carrier. (Some people prefer to remove the sleeve from the carrier first, then pop open the end and slide in the wire.)  
3. After termination of the wire, either sleeve style can easily be adjusted to the best location for marking and then certain types can be shrunk with a heat-gun for permanent placement.
