BMP71 Printer Driver with LabelMark or Markware Software

Use the following steps for installing LabelMark™ Labeling Software or Markware™ Facility Identification Software with the BMP71 Label Printer. These steps should be followed before installing the Printer Driver.

LabelMark Software

• If using the BMP71 Label Printer with LabelMark 5.0 , simply install the the driver linked below.
• If using the BMP71 Label Printer with LabelMark 4.0, you must complete the following steps BEFORE installing the printer driver.

• Install the LabelMark 4.0 Parts Update for BMP71.

Markware Software

• If using the BMP71 printer with Markware, complete the following steps BEFORE installing the printer driver.

• Confirm installation or upgrade to Markware version 3.7.
• Install the Markware 3.7.6 patch.
• Install the Markware Templates for BMP71 Patch from the website.

To Install the Printer Driver

Select BEGIN DOWNLOAD and click OPEN. Extract the files and note the folder on your PC.

1. Turn the printer on and connect the USB Cable.
2. A new hardware wizard will appear and ask if Windows Update can search for driver files; Select "No, not this time" and click on NEXT.
3. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click on NEXT.
4. Select "Search for the best driver in these locations" and also check the "Include this location in the search" in the check box.
5. Click on BROWSE and scroll down to the folder that the files were extracted to during the download.
6. Click OK; the path that you browsed to will be displayed in the "Found New Hardware" wizard.
7. Continue through the Found New Hardward wizard to complete the driver installation.

To Run the Printer Driver Update

The BMP71 Printer Driver MUST be installed prior to running the update.

1. Download the file and extract the drvdata.ini file to c:\windows\system32.
2. You will be prompted to replace the existing file. Select YES.
