Description:
Brady B-503 is a polymer coated, flame retardant cloth with a white dot matrix print-receptive topcoat.

Brady B-503 is designed as an identification tag for wire harnesses and bundles requiring flexibility and outstanding self-extinguishing properties. B-503 is supplied in a dot-matrix printable format on an adhesive coated paper carrier. The Brady Series R2000 and R5000 ribbons are recommended for dot matrix printing of B-503.

Brady B-503 meets the performance requirements of UL 94 VTM-0 for flammability performance.

The following testing is performed with the B-503 printed with the Brady Series R2000 and R5000 ribbons. All samples allowed to dwell 24 hours prior to testing.

PERFORMANCE PROPERTY
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
Samples were printed with Series R2000 and R5000 ribbons and dwelled 24 hours prior to test. Testing consisted of 5 cycles of 10 minute immersions in the specified chemicals followed by 30 minute recovery periods. After the final immersion the samples were rubbed with cotton swabs. Testing was conducted at room temperature.

Note: Unless stated otherwise, results were the same for both Series R2000 and R5000 ribbons.

Product testing, customer feedback, and history of similar products, support a customerperformance expectation of at leasttwo years from the date of receipt for this product as long as this product is stored in its original packaging in an environment below 80 degrees F and 60% RH . We are confident that our product will perform well beyond this time frame. However, it remains the responsibility of the user to assess the risk of using such product. We encourage customers to develop functional testing protocols that will qualify a product's fitness for use, in their actual applications.
