BradyPrinter 6441 Firmware Upgrade

The BradyPrinter™ 6441
Firmware Upgrade Version 7.132 is available for download.

Install Instructions:
A.) Prepare the printer: Press the pause and test buttons and turn on the printer, you will get the message "update software...send software". (note: if you are upgrading from firmware version 2.09 or up you can copy to printer from the ready mode).
B.) Download the appropriate file (6441.zs) to your PC's hard drive c:

C.) Copy the file from your computer to the printer via a parallel or serial cable. Click on your Windows Start button, then click on Programs, then Accessories, then Command Prompt. A black box appears. If your cursor is at anything other than C:/>, type c: and press enter, then type cd\ and press enter to make sure you are at the correct prompt. Follow the instructions below that matches your printers connection to your PC.

For Parallel

1. Type copy filename LPTx and press enter. For example: If your printer is a 6441 you would type at the DOS prompt without the quotes "copy 6441.zs LPT1"

For Serial

1. Type without the quotes "mode COM1;9600,n,8,1" to set the com port and press enter

2. Type copy filename.zs COMx and press enter. For example: If your printer is a 6441 connected to com1 you would type at the DOS prompt without the quotes "copy 6441.zs com1"
