Lockout PRO Image Optimizer Utility

The Brady Lockout PRO™ Image Optimizer Utility is available for download in ZIP format.



This utility can either be used to optimize images before you add them to Lockout PRO v2.0 procedure files, or to optimize the image files that are contained within previously created Lockout PRO v2.0 procedure files. This update replaces all previous versions.

Background:

Some of our customers find that the digital images that they are using within their Lockout Procedures are much larger than they need to be for use within the Lockout procedures. As the images are embedded within the procedure files, this results in unnecessary amounts of memory being used to both store and process the procedure files. In addition, an issue has been identified where images that are marked as read-only within Windows can disrupt the proper operation of Lockout PRO v2.1 and earlier. This utility optimizes the images by scaling them to the optimum resolution and removing any read-only attributes.

Lockout PRO v2.0 Image Optimizer Installation:

1. Download the attachment below and save it to your computer hard drive.
   


2. Once saved, you must install the program by double-clicking the "InstallImageOptimizer" icon to begin the installation.


3. The Image Optimizer.msi will be installed under C:/Program Files/ImageOptimizer.
   


4. Once installed, simply click on the Image Optimizer to open the program.
   You will be given two options: To Optimize images prior to importing them into a procedure, or to Optimize procedures already created in Lockout Pro that may contain images that are not compatible with Lockout Pro.


5. Determine which option you want to use, then browse to the folder that contains the files you need to Optimize.


6. Highlight the folder, and then click OK. This will bring the folder into
   the Image Optimizer program.


7. Click on "Optimize" and the program will convert the files so they will be compatible with Lockout Pro V 2.0 and above.
