Wraptor Upgrade Version 1.30a Utilties - Upgrade All Four Parts

The electronic files of the Brady Wraptor Upgrade v1.30a Utilites are available for download in ZIP format. This ZIP archive includes ALL of the files required for the upgrade, including USB Driver, Printer Driver, File Management Utility (FMU) and Firmware Upgrade.

NOTE: You must use a PC with an
internet connection to complete the Wraptor OS upgrade. If you prefer to upgrade your Wraptor to version 1.30a via CD, call Brady Tech Support at 1-800-643-8766.

Part 1 - Updating USB Drivers

1. The following upgrade files are available in ZIP format. If you do not have the program "WinZip", you will not be able to complete any part of the following upgrade process. Download WinZip for free at www.winzip.com.


2. Once you have finished downloading and installing WinZip, you may proceed through all parts of the upgrade process detailed on this page.


3. Download the zip file "Wraptor_v1-30_Utils.zip" by clicking on the link below. Save this file to a known location.


4. Navigate to the location where you just saved this file, and double click the "Wraptor_v1-30_Utils.zip" zip archive.


5. Extract the contents of the zip archive to a known location.


6. Navigate to the "Big Wraptor" folder you just extracted and then into the "Wraptor_v1-30a_USBDrv" subfolder and double click on the "Upgrade USB Driver Instructions" file for further instructions.

Part 2 - Updating the Printer Driver

1. Navigate to the "Big Wraptor" folder once more and then into the "Wraptor_v1-30a_USB Driver" sub folder.


2. Double click "Printer_Install.exe".


3. Select a language to proceed.


4. Select the type of port the Wraptor uses to connect to the PC and click OK.


5. When the installation is finished, choose "No, I will restart my computer later."


6. Click Finish.

Part 3 - File Management Utility (FMU) (Optional)

1. Navigate to the location "Big Wraptor" folder, and then into the "FMU_v1-30a" sub folder.


2. Double click on the file "setup.exe"


3. Select a language to proceed.


4. If the installer asks you if you would like to upgrade the FMU, click Yes.


5. Click Next.


6. The FMU will now install/upgrade. When this is complete, click Finish.
   
   

Part 4 - Wraptor Firmware Upgrade

1. Verify that the Wraptor is turned on and connected to your PC, and that the connection type selected in the Wraptor is the type that will be used in the following upgrade process.


2. Navigate to the "Big Wraptor" folder, and then into the "Wraptor_Upgrade_v1-30a"
   sub folder.


3. Double click either "wraptor upgrade NT.exe" or "wraptor upgrade.exe" depending on your operating system (only NT users should click the NT .exe file).


4. Select the port the Wraptor is currently using to connect to your PC and click OK.


5. The following steps in this section must be performed on the Wraptor. Click on the File Tab and select Exit.


6. Select Upgrade System.


7. Verify that the version displayed is correct and click OK.


8. The Wraptor will now update and back up the registry. This will take a
   few minutes.


9. After the upgrade is complete, the Wraptor will instruct you to reboot.
   Turn off power to the Wraptor for a minimum of 30 seconds, and then turn the power back on.


10. The should now say that it is updating files, and will then ask you to
    reboot once more.


11. Cycle the power as in step 11. Once the Wraptor restarts, it should boot
    up to the File screen and be ready to perform. Your Wraptor system is now
    updated to v1.30a.


12. Restart your PC to ensure that all of these changes have taken effect.
