NetDoc®2 Software features a variety of advanced user capabilities and functionalities for managing a network topology. Below is a quick overview of the bugs that have been resolved in NetDoc®2 Software.

Bug FixesAssets added but do not appear on Ports tab: When adding assets, the type must be defined as either Data or Voice. If “Other” is entered, the asset will not appear on the Ports tabs and a message will indicate that all HL cables must have an asset port selected.Trace needed from Horizontal Cable screen: Users can now trace down from a horizontal link to the backbone asset type.Slow response time when ports/strands expand beyond 200: Performance has been improved with multiple ports/strands.Want to import connections through an Excel tool: A revised Import Tool has been added with enhanced functionality.Want to import connections through an Excel tool: Although only 2,500 items display, the entire database is searched. To speed up and improve the search, users should expand the search criteria to include more specific data.SQL circuit trace errors: This has been corrected with SQL code enhancements.Unable to connect a port from on asset to another asset port: The application now allows any number of assets to be attached to a port.Asset naming wizard changes the name of the asset (e.g., 1/1 becomes 1/00): Users can now manually type any name for the port.Can't attach a file with the same name as one that was deleted: Users can now attach a file with the same name of one that was deleted, even if that same name was previously deleted.The Key field is missing: The Key field and its functions have been restored as in previous versions.Cannot search a circuit by name: Users can now search by circuit ID number.Cannot document an entire path if I use two or more termination hardware blocks along the way: Users can now document any connection path.Cannot document an entire path if connections are in different rooms: Users can now document any connection path.Outdoor spaces in trace: Outdoor spaces now show the correct icon in a circuit trace.A complete list of NetDoc®2 Software is available for download in Adobe PDF format.
