Multiple uses for NYC Local Law 26 compliance include:- Step markings, allowed on the entire horizontal leading edge of each step as a solid and continuous strip.
- Leading edge of landings, required on the entire horizontal leading edge ofeach landing as a solid and continuous strip the full length of the leadingedge, or the same length as and consistent with the strips on the steps.
- Perimeter demarcation lines, intended to outline the egress path by providing low-location lines on both sides of the path, either on the floor or on the wall.
- Door frame markings, for which the tops and sides of the door frame of allintermediate and final exit doors shall be marked with a solid and continuous strip.
- Handrails (optional), to be marked with a solid and continuous strip.
