Adelyn Zamora
One of Adelyn Zamora’s first projects when she started at Brady was to investigate how to use the internet to market Brady’s products. The year was 1997 — and this was an entirely new concept for companies. This project set the trajectory for Adelyn’s career, with the launch of the first website for the Signmark Division.
Today, as Director of Global Digital Product Management, Adelyn is responsible for setting and implementing the overall vision for the global direct-to-consumer eCommerce platforms.
“Throughout my career, I’ve had managers, and not just those I reported to, who were willing to support my career development. People at Brady are willing to educate, help and support those who want to advance or get better at what they do,” said Adelyn. “These managers encouraged me to continue to learn and gave me the freedom to push the status quo and implement change.”
Adelyn has also been a longtime member of Brady’s Women’s Leadership Alliance (WLA), taking advantage of its many programs, events and guest speakers.
“The WLA is a great vehicle to meet and build relationships with people from throughout the company. There is always an opportunity to learn more about co-workers, our community and ourselves. I often use the tools and information shared from the WLA to coach my team, as well as in my own goal setting and career planning,” she said.
While women tend to be underrepresented in technology roles and in the manufacturing field overall, Adelyn credits Brady’s culture as one of the reasons she has been successful with the company.
“Although I work in marketing, I spend most of my time working with technology teams, so I am often the only woman in meetings or on project teams,” she said. “I have been lucky to work with people who are open and accepting of diverse backgrounds and who treat everyone with the same level of respect. Our core values help instill a culture of inclusion and diversity, which is important in our daily lives and as we look to nurture and hire new employees.”
