• Powering down or removing the battery from the reader while in BLE App Mode will cause the software to switch to Keyboard Mode. To restore BLE App Mode, the user must scan the Keyboard Mode barcode, reconnect the reader, and click the disconnect button.

Install Instructions

1. After downloading, unzip and run DirectConnect.v1.1.15.exe.
2. Click next on the Welcome screen.
3. Read and agree to the License Agreement.
4. The application can work in three different modes; the user will choose which mode to install during installation.
• Bluetooth Keyboard - Used to easily connect a V4500/V3200 to a Windows PC as a Bluetooth Keyboard device.
• Bluetooth BaseStation - Replicates the Quick Connect Code printed on the V1300 base to the Windows PC screen.
• BLE App Mode - Used in conjunction with SDK software to integrate a non-keyboard V4500/V3200 connected to a Windows PC without using a base.
5. After selecting your desired usage, wait for installation process to complete. Application will auto start when finished.
