[00:00:02] - Choose the right option from the family of ToughStripe tapes that matches your environment and application needs.
[00:00:08] - First, prep your floor to ensure maximum adhesion and durability.
[00:00:13] - Apply ToughStripe to clean dry surfaces.
[00:00:21] - To build around gaps, cut and leave a space between both ends of the tape.
[00:00:26] - Remove old tape using a scraper.
[00:00:28] - Sweep off any excess dirt and debris, then mop the area.
[00:00:33] - If needed, use an industrial degreaser, like Brady’s Super Concentrate Cleaner, to remove oils and residue.
[00:00:40] - Finish by mopping once more with clean water, and allow the area to dry completely.
[00:00:46] - Now you are ready to apply your ToughStripe.
[00:00:49] - Peel back two inches of the liner from your tape and tack it down.
[00:00:52] - Unroll your tape and get a feel for the right distance.
[00:00:56] - This is the time to adjust and align your tape.
[00:01:00] - Now, carefully peel back the liner.
[00:01:03] - Using a roller or squeegee, apply strong, consistent downward pressure from the tacked starting point to the end of your line to maximize adhesion.
[00:01:13] - Want to move faster or have a long distance to tape?
[00:01:16] - Bring a friend.
[00:01:17] - One person can unroll, while the other tacks and smooths.
[00:01:21] - Or use Brady's ToughStripe Tape Applicator to make long distances a breeze.
[00:01:27] - And for more complex jobs, Leave it to Brady's expert area marking services to handle every detail.
[00:01:34] - Make sure not to overlap the corners of your ToughStripe and use mitered corners to prevent pick points.
[00:01:40] - For best results, let the tape sit overnight to properly adhere to the surface.
[00:01:45] - Or, in a heavily trafficked area, a slow pass with a forklift in the direction of application can speed up the process.
[00:01:53] - Need to swap out your ToughStripe?
[00:01:55] - Remove it easily.
[00:01:57] - Start at an edge or corner and peel slowly and continuously upward at a 90° angle.
